Bitcoin and Ethereum Prices Drop; Over $170 million in longs liquidated
Based on CoinGecko statistics, the price of Bitcoin fell late Tuesday below $59,000, lowest not seen in a week. Ethereum dipped below $2,500 and mirrored the more than 3% decline.
According to CoinGlass, hurting investors betting on the asset prices to grow caused over $170 million in long-position liquidations in a single hour to be triggered by a sharp price drop. BTC and ETH investors dominated those liquidations; their longs rekt were respectively $65 million and $52 million.
